So how can we start so it is easy, simple and rewarding?
Commit yourself initially to start devoting just 5 min of your day to simple sit, stand or walk and breath.
Start by breathing in and out slowly. One cycle should last for approximately 6 seconds. Breath in through your nose and out through your mouth, letting your breath flow effortlessly in and out of your body.
Ask your mind to become quite, let go of your thoughts, and let go of the things you have to do later today or tomorrow. Simple let yourself be mentally still.
Focus your attention on your breath and your body. Connect with yourself. Simple allow yourself to feel and sense your breath entering your body, filling you with life and watch it work its way up and out of your mouth. Simple breath and observe your body, feel your body, focus on your breath.....
It is an easy way to connect with the body and not live in the head. Our mind is a beautiful tool, but it is meant to be a tool not a master.
This could be a great, easy start of very powerful exercise that you will enjoy and that will leave you calmer and more at peace.
Just start 5 min a day and do it for 21 days in order to start new, healthy habit. Commit to it, you are worth it!
